A study on enzymatic method of cholesterol

Abstract
|
|
|
We have studied the enzymatic method of cholesterol which was developed by Richmond in 1973 and Allain in 1974 comparing to Lieberman Buchard reaction and Kiliani reaction.
1) In enzymatic method there was no harm health because this method does not require the concentrated acid.
2) The volume of specimen required fo the test is very small(0.02 ml) as compared to the other method. (0.5-0.2 ml)
3) The use of autoanalyzer was proper to the method.
4) This method was expensive because of easy loss of its activity.
This method is superior to the other methods in its sensitivity and reproducibility.
